The identity of school-age children is still under construction, marked by a critical period of development. Imposing a “Franco” label on them can sometimes disrupt a naturally fluid and evolving identity process. The presentation, moderated by Andrea Burke-Saulnier, associate professor at University of Sainte-Anne and specialist in minority language education, invites us to reflect deeply on how the “franco” label influences this identity journey.
