Since Fall 2025, Collège Nordique has been using a new registration system that now centralizes all student information in one place: the student portal. This transition represents an important improvement for the student community. To support the adoption of the new student portal and facilitate registration, this article clearly explains the role of the website and the portal, while helping you develop good habits.

Two complementary but distinct tools

The Collège’s website presents programs, courses, workshops, events, news, and all general information intended for the wider public. It serves as the main showcase to explore available training and services, with full descriptions.

The student portal, accessible at services.cnordique.ca, is a centralized digital platform that allows users to:

  • Register for courses and workshops
  • View schedules and grades
  • Access course content, when available on Moodle
  • Pay an invoice
  • Submit administrative requests
  • Receive official communications from instructors and the Collège

This portal is the single access point for students at the Collège.

How do you register at the Collège based on your profile?

It is essential to distinguish three scenarios:

1) You are registering for the very first time

Go to the webpage of the desired course or training on our website, then click “Register” to complete the online form. You will then receive, by email, access to your student portal account, along with your login credentials and instructions to configure your account.

2) You previously took a course or training before September 2025

If you studied at Collège Nordique before September 2025 but do not yet have a student portal account, please use the registration form available on our website. Go to the webpage of the desired program and click “Register.” You will then receive, by email, access to your student portal account, along with your login credentials and instructions to configure your account.

3) You have been a student at the Collège since September 2025

You already received your student number and portal login credentials by email when you registered. All future registrations must now be completed exclusively through the student portal.

Why must students enrolled since September 2025 register through the student portal instead of the website?

When you register using the form on our website, our registration system automatically creates your student portal account. However, if a registration matches an existing profile, the system detects the duplication and cancels the request. This ensures that every student has a unique identification number, which simplifies record management.

Registering through the student portal allows you to:

  • avoid re-entering your personal information every time you register
  • automatically access activities reserved for students
  • see eligible courses before they appear publicly
  • centralize all your registrations in one place
  • easily access your schedule, receipts, grades, and Moodle resources
  • avoid registration errors and delayed confirmations

The portal becomes your single space to manage everything simply, quickly, and efficiently.

Why is mandatory email forwarding required?

The second essential point concerns communications. During your first login to the portal, you must enable email forwarding to your personal email address. This step—mandatory and essential—ensures that you receive all important information from instructors and administration.

Without forwarding:

  • Messages sent by instructors remain only within the portal
  • You may miss crucial information such as Zoom links, assignments, reminders, or room or schedule changes
  • You will not receive notifications when a new message is posted

In practice, forwarding acts as a secure automatic transfer, ensuring that you receive every communication related to your academic journey.
