This online activity aims to deepen the understanding of francophone life in a minority context in the Northwest Territories, through a combined look at northern identity, integration, and relationships with Indigenous communities.

It will allow students to:

  • grasp the cultural and linguistic issues related to francophone life in the North;
  • explore the challenges and pathways to integration in the territory;
  • recognize the role of interactions between Indigenous and francophone communities;
  • broaden their understanding of everyday life in a minority context outside Quebec.

The activity will take the form of a presentation led by several speakers, supported by visuals, concrete examples, and a discussion period with students from Cégep de La Pocatière.

The Teams meeting link will be sent to you by email after you register.

About the activity

This conference is offered as part of the project In-depth understanding of francophone realities in minority settings outside Quebec, carried out in collaboration between Collège Nordique and Cégep de La Pocatière.
