Racism takes many forms and continues to have real effects on individuals and communities.

In this online workshop offered in French, Dr. Ghizlane Laghzaoui — Associate Professor and consultant specializing in equity, diversity, and inclusion — leads an interactive session on the various forms of racism, power dynamics, exclusion mechanisms, and their repercussions in francophone minority settings. With 35 years of experience in university teaching, she also brings deep expertise in educational leadership and diversity management. Her research focuses on the socio-professional integration of newcomers and on racism and discrimination issues in minority francophone environments. As an EDI and anti-racism consultant, she develops training, workshops, and courses on systemic racism, power relations, exclusion, and leadership and community governance in minority language contexts.

Open to all students and members of the francophone community in the NWT, this workshop aims to equip participants and foster more inclusive and equitable environments.
