This fully online training was developed by the Fédération franco-ténoise to support anyone newly arrived within Franco-Ténois community organizations. It invites participants to explore the history, political structures, and social realities of the Northwest Territories, while highlighting the richness and challenges of a minority francophone community in a Northern context. It is intended for anyone who works in, or wishes to become involved with, francophone organizations in the NWT.
Throughout the course, participants will develop a deeper understanding of what shapes the Northwest Territories: their history, population, and key issues, as well as the strength and resilience of the communities who live there. Participants will learn how Franco-Ténois francophonie was built, how it is organized today, and how each person who joins it contributes to its vitality.
