When we think of summer in the Canadian Far North, we often imagine wild landscapes, vast lakes, and a golden light that never seems to fade. And for good reason: from May to August, the days are nearly endless. The midnight sun—a spectacular natural phenomenon—makes countless unforgettable experiences possible.
Here are five safe, tangible (and campfire-free!) ways to enjoy adventure, culture, and well-being all summer long in the NWT.
Turn your evening walks or hiking trips into an active and educational game: pick a theme or a color, and snap a photo every time you find something that fits.
