Status :
Available

This information session is intended for families and individuals living in Yellowknife who are interested in hosting, from June 15 to July 17, 2026, a student enrolled in the Explore program in French.

Offered for the very first time in the Northwest Territories, the Explore program is a language immersion experience funded by the Government of Canada. It provides young people with the opportunity to learn and practise French or English while discovering a new region of the country.
The Collège Nordique offers the Explore program in French.

During this session, the Collège Nordique team will:

  • explain how the program works, the role of host families and host individuals, as well as the support provided throughout the stay;
  • answer all your questions during an open discussion period.

This information session will allow you to:

  • better understand the Explore program and how it is delivered;
  • learn about the expectations related to hosting a student;
  • obtain clear information about accommodation, support, and guidance;
  • determine whether the role of host family or host individual aligns with your reality.

The session will be held simultaneously online and at the Collège Nordique, to make participation as accessible as possible.
