EDIA+ Community of Practice

In March 2026, Collège Nordique launched its first Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Community of Practice, bringing together Francophones interested in collectively exploring issues related to equity, diversity, and inclusion while co-developing practical solutions and initiatives.

EDIA+ Community of Practice

Collège Nordique's Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (EDIA+) Community of Practice is a collaborative learning and dialogue network that brings together Francophones from the Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut.

The community encourages the sharing of experiences, collective reflection, and the co-creation of solutions tailored to the realities of Francophone communities across Northern Canada, helping to build more equitable, inclusive, and accessible environments.

Mission

The EDIA+ Community of Practice aims to bring together committed Francophones from the three territories to foster the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and resources related to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Its mission is to strengthen practices, support the development of initiatives that reflect northern realities, and transform individual actions into lasting collective impact for Francophone communities across Northern Canada.

Our Objectives

The Community of Practice pursues the following objectives:

  • Encourage collective reflection on equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility issues affecting Francophone communities in the Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut;
  • Foster a safe and respectful space for dialogue, collaboration, and the sharing of experiences;
  • Co-create practical solutions tailored to northern realities;
  • Support the development and implementation of EDIA initiatives;

  • Strengthen collaboration and collective learning to create lasting impact within Northern Canada's Francophone communities.

The Community of Practice is open to any Francophone living in the Northwest Territories, Yukon, or Nunavut who wishes to contribute to advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
